It feels so strange that this class is over because it's gone by entirely too fast. We did one last break out box that we put together ourselves and it went really well. The kids had fun, we had fun, and so did Ms. Mitchell. The break out box was a good ending project because it was fun and you could really see how it impacted the kids. I still think our first project helped the community the most but we still had an amazing year overall. I was in class with great classmates and a fantastic teacher and everyone had a blast. I am extremely thankful that I took this class and I would like to encourage others to take it in the future.

We did another break out in a different teachers room. The kids there got that one very easily. I'm not sure if maybe another class gave it away or if this class was simply smarter. The teacher, Ms. Uley, was very nice and helpful. Ms. Mitchell has asked us to make another break out box to do for her class. This time, she requested we make it 'fifth grade standards'. Whatever that means. We are working on that one currently!
We have finished the the escape box and we ended up doing a math one. It's actually pretty cool. The clues are fun and just hard enough to be challenging and ensure the kids are still going to learn something. We're excited to continue doing this and hopefully we can get the other classes involved for a grade wide contest.
We tried a break out box with our class and I am glad we didn't try it with the little kids. The high school kids weren't getting it easily. All because of a decoy document that actually didn't have any meaning at all once so ever. We've decided to try a genres one for Grace's mom's class. Hopefully it will be fun!!
